Summer fun

Last weekend after the World Cup final, Roothie and I undertook a small project to rid my front door area of this hideous looking fern. Equipped with some help from a knowledgable neighbor, we went through the box, took out all the rocks, and uprooted the bloody thing.



A few bags of soil and some random flowers from Osh later, we've got a mini set of flowers going and they're still alive!

Amidst the newfound busyness of wedding planning, I decided to shop around for a new car. I had to call around a bit, but a dealership in Tracy that could get a Prius within a week! This was way better than the ~4 month turnaround time at the first couple places I called that were closer, so it was well worth the drive out.





Right by the dealership was also this restaurant called Golden Corral that Felix was super excited about; it's a buffet place that has all sorts of barbeque type food. It's the only one in Northern California, so it made a convenient excuse to visit, so Daniel and Felix came along to pick up the car. We ate so much food and came away completely stuffed!

In addition to the stock vehicle and the after-market leather, Roothie added her own touches to the car:
