What's in a name?
Neither Ruth nor I have any strong preference about whether she changes her name or not after we get married. It does seem kind of annoying to have to go through all the hassle of changing one's name and Ruth Lo does sound better to both of us, but there's also the downside of having to deal with oddities related to having different official last names.

Ok, fine, here's a compromise. You both change your last name to Lopan.
Ooh! I like Lopan. Seriously, why does the girl always have to change her name? How sexist.
Ruth's so lucky to have the option. Lo Pan works well, Stefanik Morrissey does not!
