New family member
Dang, I've gotten pretty behind on blogging since this is the first post of 2008 and we're over 50 days into the new year. I might as well write a new post to try change up my AdSense block to see if something will actually monetize. Don't be surprised to see a post about mesothelioma or web hosting soon :)
Since we've gotten back from our Christmas break trip, we moved to a more spacious unit in our apartment complex (pics to be posted after we finally get our couches in a couple of weeks). We decided to fill the new space with a new member of household, a 5 month old Shiba Inu:
She thankfully doesn't bark much at all, resorting to some whining when we put her up for the night or leave for the day, so we shouldn't have any problems with neighbors like Ruth did when she first got her other dog Logan in Mountain View. That the apartment complex over there didn't allow pets didn't help much either :)
In the eventful week that we've had her, she's no longer deathly afraid of being on leash, will actually walk up and down the stairs without having to be carried, is reasonably housebroken, plays with all of her toys, and can reliably fetch one of them.
Single guys are welcome to visit us and borrow Azuki for a walk in an attempt to pick up girls...

Now you can leave your clothes on the ground and just blame it on the dog.
cute dog! not as cute as me but pretty darn cute!
when our (itty bitty) dog used to bark my brother would throw her into the closet. now she's trained well only to whimper. it's great.
so is this like the trial run to see if you'll be able to handle a baby?
heh, i actually have to pick up my clothes now since i don't want dog all over them. or just toss them into our bedroom since she's not allowed in there.
we considered putting the vacuum cleaner right in front of her crate if she whines too loudly since she's terrified of it...
i have to say those couches have taken a loooong time to materialize!
you need to post a picture of azuki and her octopussy.
Just don't leave your laptop sitting precariously on the arm of your new couch.
Good name, btw. :)
heh, it's only taken almost 7 months to get a couch. luckily, the armrests are pretty narrow on it so i won't be tempted to leave my laptop there to get knocked over :)
post something else already
