Stuffed!

Back from yet another trip to Texas, this time a jaunt through Houston for Thanksgiving weekend with the Lo's.

We arrived on Wednesday night and picked up Thanksgiving lunch/dinner from this place called Pappas, which provided the turkey and most of the fixings. Not bad at all with the added bonus of not having to do much work :)

The food was tasty and we supplemented it with additional pumpkin and apple pies from Krogers to top off the meal.

Instead of shopping on Black Friday, we took off for a fishing trip in the Gulf. I was excited since I hadn't gone fishing before, but a little apprehensive as I didn't take to well to the seas when I last went on a multi-hour boating trip when I went whale watching in CA. I was certainly fine before the trip started, although Roothie thought it was a gangsta fishing trip.

Eager to learn, I was still pretty bad at casting the line by the end of the 4 hour trip, and the only I caught was my bait :(

Other folks were much luckier (not more skillful) and some big ~18 lb fish were caught!

There wasn't much interesting shopping-wise on Friday, but we headed out again on Saturday and Ruth stopped by a bridal store to check out some dresses. I was banished to Starbucks while she tried some on and she ended up finding one that she liked! I have no idea what it looks like, but here's the silly store:

When we weren't eating or sleeping or shopping, we were playing the Wii! Trauma Center was pretty addicting and I think I managed to save about 30 patients in the span of two days, so I'm definitely cut out to be a doctor!

A smattering of additional photos at my Picasa web album.

Lucky charm

Man am i on a roll with the luck! After getting the Wicked tickets in NY i woke up today, came to toysrus, decided to wait, went back home for chair and bio notes. With 43 units available i was in line at #43! It was all credit to Osvaldo who did the recon and waited out at Target starting at 3:30am and called me to check out toysrus at 7:00am.

Who wants to go???

In other SJSU news, my prof recently remarked that he tells the class that something specific will be on the test, puts it on the test, and it amazes him that people still get it wrong. I love this place.
